Dr. Lorraine Tafra, Clinical Advisor.
Dr. Tafra directs the Breast Center at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland and is a past president of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Tafra received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her surgical residency at Thomas Jefferson University, a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and her fellowship training in surgical oncology at the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. She was elected to the board of The American Society of Breast Surgeons in 2001.
Dr. Kenneth J. Bloom, Clinical Advisor.
Dr. Bloom is a board certified anatomical pathologist and currently serves as medical director/laboratory director at Clarient, Inc. He is internationally renowned for his work with IHC and FISH testing related to Her-2/neu. In addition, he has served the industry for the past 20 years in both advisory and operational roles. Appointments include board of director seats, consulting roles, and executive level positions at diagnostics technology and information technology firms including Genentech, Astra-Zeneca, Rubicor, Xoft, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, US LABS, and Apple Computer.
Prof. Shlomo Lelcuk, Clinical Advisor.
Prof. Lelcuk is a professor of medicine and head of Surgery Department B at the Rabin Medical Center in Israel. Prof. Lelcuk graduated from the University of Siena, Italy and the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Prof. Lelcuk is an associate professor at the Tel Aviv Medical School and previously an instructor at the Harvard Medical School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Dr. Tamar Karni, Clinical Advisor.
Dr. Karni founded and is now head of the Comprehensive Breast Care Institute at the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Israel. Dr. Karni is also a senior surgeon at the Department of General Surgery there. Dr. Karni currently serves as vice president of the ethics committee of the Israel Medical Association.
