Bill Densel, CEO
Bill's background includes over 18 years of commercialization experience of innovative medical devices. Prior to joining Dune, he was Vice President, Marketing, for the GYN Surgery division of Hologic Corporation. Also during his tenure at Hologic, he held executive responsibility for the management of the company's brain tumor radiation therapy business. He has held senior commercial roles at Boston Scientific and Genzyme Corporation.
Dan Hashimshony PhD, President & CTO, General Manager Dune Israel
Dan is the founder of Dune and is heading its technology and manufacturing center in Israel. He has served as Chief Executive Officer until 2010. Prior to founding Dune he was the Chief Scientist of X-Technologies, where he led the development of a miniature X-ray catheter device for radiation therapy. The company was later acquired by Guidant Corp. Prior to that he held a senior R&D position at SELA Semiconductors, focusing on the creations of novel devices for remote sensing of semiconductor properties using terahertz technology. Dan holds a Ph.D. in physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Gil Rosen, VP Finance & Administration
Gil is in charge of Dune's financial management, corporate operations, and investor relations. He is a veteran executive with over ten years of high-tech business experience in U.S. markets, including four years at Bloomberg's global headquarters in New York City. He holds an MBA from the Recanati School of Business, in the Tel Aviv University.
Gal Aharonowitz, VP Engineering
Gal is an industry veteran with more than 13 years of experience in product development and manufacturing with early stage medical device companies and international public corporations. Prior to joining Dune, he was head of R&D at Lumenis Corp. where he managed a team of over 45 engineers.
Bernard Spycher, VP Europe
Bernie has over 18 years of experience in the medical devices industry in Europe and the US, with management responsibilities in General Management, Marketing and Sales, R&D and Operations. Prior to joining Dune, he was the Regional Business Director, Central Europe for Cytyc where he led 4 subsidiaries.
Kristine Burke, VP Regulatory, Quality & Clinical
Kristine has over 12 years experience in Regulatory Affairs and 15 years in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Dune, she held positions at Organogenesis, Covidien (Confluent Surgical) and Johnson & Johnson (DePuy) where she supported multiple product development and commercialization activities for novel implant and tissue-based medical device products. She has earned a Masters degree in Public Health from Boston University and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
