Dune Medical raises $5 million Medical Devices completes a $5 million (USD) series A financing round led by Apax Partners.

Tel Aviv/London, UK, March 29, 2004 - Dune Medical Devices Ltd., an Israel-based developer of surgical oncology technologies and products, today announced the closing of its series A funding led by Apex Partners Funds with the participation of the existing seed investors.
Dr. Dan Hashimshony, Dune Medical Devices founder and CEO, said: "Completing this financing will enable Dune Medical Devices to accelerate R&D and bring us closer to turning our unique cutting edge technology into valuable solutions and products in the field of surgical oncology. Three directors will be appointed to Dune's Board of Directors as part of this investment: Dr. Morry Blumenfeld, who has 34 years of experience in the field as a senior executive at GE Medical, Guy Shinar, former CEO of X-Technologies, and Amos Goren, Head of Apax Partners' European Healthcare team.
