Dune Medical Devices is engaged in the development and commercialization of intra-operative systems intended to identify cancerous tissues for removal. By providing surgeons with the ability to distinguish microscopic cancer cells during surgery, Dune hopes to decrease the number of repeat surgical procedures required to achieve complete removal of cancer. Devices for both open and minimally invasive surgical oncology procedures are in development.
Dune's technology is undergoing testing in a variety of applications, including: breast, prostate, esophagus, colon, and lung cancers. Dune's first product, the MarginProbe™™, is in clinical trials in the US for breast conservation surgery. |
