Dune Medical Devices is engaged in the development and commercialization of highly advanced, real-time, tissue characterization devices. The goal of Dune's devices is to enable complete, residual-free, therapeutic excisions.
Led by a team of medical device veterans Dune Medical is developing a powerful platform technology for real-time identification and localization of sub-millimeter cancer cell clusters. Embedded in hand-held devices and following further clinical trials, the technology will be used in open surgical procedures to help surgeons identify tumor margins and avoid cancer residuals.
